ABOUT US

Dana Bairen, L.Ac, Dipl.O.M.

The dream all began when I decided at age 19 to become a massage therapist. After working in that field for a while I realized that massage held limitations when treating serious or chronic illness, whether it be physical or psychological. Wanting to help my clients feel better, I figured there must be a better way. After researching various health care fields, the fields I was finding did not hold a feeling of passion for me.  So I did what any good massage therapist would do. I joined the Air Force.

Perhaps being of service would somehow lead me in the direction of the answers I was looking for. I wanted to do something that really resonated within me and that I knew could change peoples’ lives. Continuing my research, one day, I found it. I was leafing through a magazine when I came across an article on Oriental Medicine and that was the day the fire was lit. From that moment on I would lay awake at night thinking about how the clinic would look, how it could help people, what services I would offer and on and on it went. I spent the remainder of my time in the military studying and then receiving my Bachelors Degree. I knew that was just the beginning of a lot of work but I was ready for the journey.

Earning Masters Degrees in both Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine was

my next step in this fascinating life. Upon graduating I was asked by an

alternative therapy cancer center to provide care to their most dire

patients. It was through that process that I realized how important it was

for people to feel supported, heard and that they belonged. Those were

the feelings that I wanted my patients to experience in the Emerge clinic.

We opened our doors in 2009 and offer various services to our community.

From the Owner- Dana Bairen, L.Ac., Dipl.O.M

When I set out to start my acupuncture practice, I wanted to be very clear as to what I wanted to accomplish and how I wanted to contribute.  My vision had always been apparent, but conveying the message to others was something that I needed to clarify.

EMERGE -definition- To move out or away from something and come into view. To become apparent, important or prominent.

What would you achieve in your life if you knew that you could not fail?   The goal of our practice is to assist people into becoming, healing and achieving what they felt was not a possibility.

My intention in treating people is to help folks find peace and happiness.  The first step is by making the body as pain free and functional as possible.  Emotional well-being is an enormous factor that is largely overlooked and neglected by the medical profession. At Emerge, it is one of the cornerstones to treatments. Bottom line, the goal is to help people live fuller lives.  Our patients are awesome and I love working with people on their journeys.  It is an amazing gift to be able to connect people with others that share the same intentions.  I have incredible gratitude to be able watch people “emerge”.  Thank you for reading!
